Kenneth Macleod Travel is a privately owned Independent Travel Agency based in the West of Scotland and established since 1978. We’re a small, family-like team with a collective 288 years experience in travel.
What makes us different? When we’re not on the end of the phone or putting together a dream itinerary for one of our loyal customers, we’re out exploring every corner of the globe. We do our own research. We form our own opinions. We know which are the “right” parts of the island, when to stay in the astonishingly expensive hotel, and when it’s not worth it.
We believe the world is too interesting for us not to share it.

1932-2018
Kenneth Macleod
Kenneth Macleod was a true pioneer of travel when he started his business in the Glasgow suburb of Shawlands in 1978. As well as introducing Scottish travellers to the more sunny parts of Europe such as Majorca, he personally led groups on Royal Caribbean ships during the cruise industry’s infancy 25 years ago. A commitment that Elaine Tait continues today, with her personally led tours with Silversea.
Kenneth Macleod’s original ethos of first class service, every time lives on today. His commitment to attention-to-detail service and the importance of forging long-lasting relationships with clients remain the foundation of our company.
In 1993 Kenneth Macleod left Kenneth Macleod Travel in the safe hands of Elaine Tait, Julian Stark and Simon Gemmell (who exited the company in 2006), to pursue a retirement peppered with travel and adventure.
He passed away in September 2018 but his name lives on in travel.
